While in the present the small screen of the smartphone is the focus of everyday attention, this exhibition is dedicated to the appropriation of "large" screens or surfaces. In English, smartphones, computers, and televisions are grouped together as screens, but they are also used to refer to protective and shielding surfaces. In Big screens shatter easily, the transformation and folding of large screens, such as the cinema screen, are explored in the exhibition space and the associated questions about the power-political implications of visibility in social space are investigated.

In their installation-based collaborative work, Koger and Obermair create an experimental setting that incorporates sensory impressions such as touch and the sensation of warmth. Self-made yoga mats, thermochromatic paints, and sculptural fabric and silicone elements are used to create material interfaces where the "shape memory" of the material can interact with the human senses. Snake-like objects form the hinge to the collective body of the exhibition visitors. In terms of content, Koger and Obermair refer to questions about fears and well-being from the so-called "screening tests" but also to the "Snake Detection Theory", which assumes an imprint in the development of human vision through snakes.
